Daimler Trucks has delivered the first batch of its all-electric Rizon brand trucks to customers in California, with more units scheduled for delivery throughout March 2024. The Rizon trucks are class 4 and 5 medium-duty battery-electric vehicles with gross vehicle weights ranging from 15,995 to 17,995 pounds. They are capable of being charged using both DC Fast and Level 2 AC Charging systems. The initial deployment includes a diverse range of customers such as LA Sanitation and Environment, Goodwill Industries, and Ecorecycling, marking a significant step for Daimler Trucks in advancing electrified transportation solutions.

Hyundai has expanded the Staria lineup in Indonesia with fully electric and hybrid variants, both debuting at this year's Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The Staria Electric VIP grade features a 218 PS motor paired with an 84 kWh battery delivering up to 544 km NEDC range (approximately 430 km WLTP). Its 800-volt architecture supports DC fast charging up to 350 kW, enabling a 10-80% charge in just 20 minutes, while V2L capability outputs 3.5 kW externally. The hybrid variant combines a 1.6L turbocharged engine (180 PS) with an electric motor (73.4 PS) for a combined 245 PS and 367 Nm, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Both VIP variants offer identical equipment including second-row 14-way power-adjustable VIP seats with massage function, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and Hyundai's SmartSense driver assistance suite.
Toyota Hilux Two-Seat Cargo Version Launched from £36,815
Toyota has introduced a two-seat cargo version of the Hilux, removing the rear bench to create a flat load area measuring 1,290mm wide and 640mm deep, suitable for tools and equipment. Available for both Diesel 48V and BEV variants, the conversion does not compromise quality, performance, or safety. The BEV features permanent all-wheel drive with 700mm wading depth. Prices start from £36,815 for the Diesel 48V and £49,356 for the BEV (including £5,000 OZEV grant). Business users benefit from flat-rate benefit-in-kind taxation and 100% plant and machinery allowance. Toyota offers up to 10 years or 100,000 miles warranty.

The Omoda 4 EV debuted at GIIAS 2026 following its ASEAN premiere in Jakarta. Positioned as a B-segment electric SUV measuring 4,420/1,870/1,570mm with a 2,700mm wheelbase, it features a single motor producing 160kW and 275Nm, delivering 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h. The 65.05kWh LFP battery from CATL offers up to 553 km NEDC range (470 km WLTP), with DC fast charging from 20-80% in 22 minutes at up to 119kW.
