GWM’s CKD WEY G9 luxury PHEV MPV has debuted in Malaysia. The 5050 mm short-wheelbase seven-seater pairs a 1.5T with dual e-motor Hi4 system for 442 PS/642 Nm and 5.7s 0-100 km/h. A 44.2 kWh battery grants 170 km electric range; combined range tops 1000 km. Features include twin sunroofs, power sliding doors, 21-speaker audio, rear fridge and L2 ADAS; price set below RM300k.

The facelifted AMG GLB is priced USD 46.9k, up USD 0.7k. Standard L2 ADAS, optional 21-inch AMG wheels and red calipers, plus fingerprint scanner and comfort programs. The 2.0T+48V powertrain still delivers 306 hp, while the RSG starter-generator adds up to 10 kW/150 N·m; peak torque now spans 2500-4000 rpm via an 8-speed DCT.

Ford and Renault Group will co-develop two Ford EVs on Renault’s Ampr platform by 2028: a Fiesta successor built alongside Renault 5 EV in Douai, plus a Renault 4-based crossover. An LCV collaboration is also planned, merging Renault’s scale with Ford’s dynamics to speed Europe’s EV shift.
