On September 29, the Buick Allnew LaCrosse celebrated its 1.5 millionth unit rolling off the line, with official images of the new model released, launching on October 10. The new car continues the family design language with sleek headlights and large trapezoidal front grille. Dimensions are 5,003/1,866/1,466mm with a 2,905mm wheelbase, featuring 19-inch new-style wheels and Ink Bamboo Green exterior color. Interior offers an enveloping cockpit design with a new floating central screen and full LCD instrument cluster, single-side wireless charging, 121-color ambient lighting, and heated/ventilated/massaging front and rear seats with a new interior color option.

Chery Malaysia announced the Tiggo Cross Sport Edition, based on the Turbo (non-hybrid variant), launching next month. Visual changes include a more aggressive front lip with side winglets, rear diffuser with faux tailpipe cut-outs and a "Sport" tailgate badge. Roof rails, spoiler and 18-inch alloys are carried over. Current Turbo is priced at RM89,000 and Hybrid at RM100,000, with limited-time deals potentially lowering the starting price to RM81,000. Both variants use a 1.5L four-cylinder engine but with significantly different drivetrains.

Mazda confirms the pure electric SUV CX-6e will officially debut on October 7 in Thailand, with expected pricing above 1 million baht (approximately 120,000 ringgit), imported directly from China (CBU). Like the Mazda 6e, the CX-6e was co-developed by Mazda and Changan Automobile, based on the Deepal S07 with retuned chassis. A D-segment mid-to-large SUV, it measures 4,880/1,935/1,620mm with a 2,902mm wheelbase in a two-row five-seat configuration. It features a rear-mounted motor (190kW/258PS/290Nm) achieving 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds with 185km/h top speed. The 78kWh battery delivers 484km WLTP range, supporting 195kW DC fast charging (10-80% in 24 minutes) and 11kW AC charging (8.5 hours). Interior features a 26-inch giant screen, HUD, 256-color ambient lighting, 23-speaker audio and panoramic sunroof. Malaysia faces policy headwinds for this model.

Spy shots of the MG 07 wagon have emerged online, carrying over the MG 07 sedan's design with differences only in the rear. The MG 07 sedan launched in August priced at 108,900-159,900 yuan as a mid-size car with pure EV and PHEV powertrains. The front features sleek styling with C-shaped headlights and integrated bumper, with LiDAR on the roof and Momenta R7 + X7 self-developed chip. The wagon adds a rear triangular window with short rear overhang. Pure EV uses 800V platform with single motors producing 176kW or 235kW, delivering 650/610/845km range. PHEV pairs a 1.5L engine (82kW) with 152kW motor, offering 245km CLTC pure EV range, 3.98L/100km WLTC fuel consumption and 1,745km total range.

The Volkswagen ID.4 is discontinued, replaced by the ID. Tiguan. Wolfsburg's midsize electric SUV twins with its combustion-engined counterpart but is essentially a heavily-facelifted ID.3 Neo variant. Design borrows from the ID. Polo and ID. Cross with a visor-like front featuring a full-width light bar above split headlights and full-width taillights with quad square clusters and illuminated VW badge. Debuting early October, interior expected with 10.25-inch instrument and 12.9-inch infotainment displays plus physical climate controls. Powertrains carry over 190PS, 286PS and 299PS outputs with 58kWh LFP and 77kWh NMC batteries, now delivering 450-600km WLTP range (up from 438-572km). VW confirms the ID.5 coupe will be discontinued, replaced by the ID. Tiguan to cut loss-making model lines.

BMW will reveal the eighth-generation G50 3 Series on September 30. The teaser shows the testing prototype with design mimicking the fully electric NA0 i3 revealed in March. The range-topping M350 xDrive replaces the current M340i xDrive, featuring a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six (B58) producing 443PS (326kW) and 580Nm—gains of 56PS and 80Nm over the M340i. The 0-100km/h sprint takes 4.1 seconds (0.3 seconds faster), with 250km/h top speed. An eight-speed automatic and AWD are standard. It includes Drift Moment, sending all power to the rear wheels, plus adaptive M suspension, M Sport differential and variable sport steering.
