On 5 Feb Landa unveiled a battery-doubling scheme for its swap network: 8,000 new packs will be added by mid-January, lifting total Landa-compatible stock to more than 16,000—twice the original level—to cover Spring Festival peak demand. Deployment began in November with 800+ packs already in place. As of 5 Dec the network counts 2,252 swap stations nationwide (657 on highways) and 9.36 million cumulative swaps.

With the growing number of new energy vehicles, the digital management of power batteries throughout their lifecycle is becoming increasingly important. The Ministry of Commerce is advancing the development of a battery valuation and testing system to facilitate used car transactions. Companies like GEM and JD Group are also collaborating to build a digital platform for battery recycling. Experts believe that digital management is key to maximizing the value of battery assets and building a circular economy, as well as supporting battery operations and charging and swapping services, which are crucial for industry development.

Ford and Renault Group will co-develop two Ford EVs on Renault’s Ampr platform by 2028: a Fiesta successor built alongside Renault 5 EV in Douai, plus a Renault 4-based crossover. An LCV collaboration is also planned, merging Renault’s scale with Ford’s dynamics to speed Europe’s EV shift.

Porsche’s Sonderwunsch team presents the 911 GT3 90 F.A.Porsche edition, limited to 90 cars at USD 387k. Inspired by F.A.’s personal 911 G-model, it features unique F.A. Green paint, 1963 crests, truffle-brown houndstooth upholstery and gold plaques, with deliveries slated for mid-2026.
