The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) Regional Forum, held in Liverpool for the first time, brings together UK automotive leaders to explore leveraging the shift to zero emission mobility for new business and growth in the North West. Since 2021, global brands have invested £2.8 billion in the region, transforming factories to produce electric vehicles and components, directly creating 20,000 jobs. The Skoda Kylaq is an all-new subcompact SUV tailored for the Indian market, based on the Volkswagen MQB-A0-IN platform, equipped with a 1.0T three-cylinder engine delivering 116 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.5 seconds. Guangzhou Auto Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. General Manager Gu Huinan announced that the company will unveil two new models, AION UT and Hyper HL, at the Guangzhou Auto Show and plans to launch an extended-range vehicle next year. The AION UT is positioned as an entry-level electric vehicle with the latest global style design, expected to be priced around 100,000 yuan, with dimensions larger than the BYD Dolphin. The Hyper HL is built on a new platform and architecture and may compete with the Li Auto L8 in the future. The Aion AH8 project is independently developed by GAC Aion, with Huawei participating as a supplier in the development and cooperation of the company's self-branded models, with the project investment adjusted to 1.233 billion yuan.

Ford Motor Company has filed a patent application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for a lighting unit that includes LiDAR technology, potentially for use in future Ford vehicles' headlights and taillights. The technology integrates a LiDAR module in the second part of the lighting unit, separated vertically from the light source, for use in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles. LiDAR relies on laser pulses for detection and ranging, and Ford's patent envisions a neater packaging of this technology within the vehicle's headlights, although it may increase the cost of the headlights.

JMK's first gaming IP custom production vehicle, the Traveler Peace Elite War God Edition, is set to launch on November 8th. Based on the JMK's Traveler 2.0T+7DCT 4WD powertrain, the exterior integrates elements from the game "Peace Elite," including exclusive identity badges and island camouflage painting. The interior is equipped with a crystal gear lever, yellow seat belts, a 15.6-inch central control screen, and features the Peace Elite-themed 3D HMI. Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system with a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 125km, and introducing a new "Morning Dawn Gold" exterior color.
