Li Auto reported August 2026 deliveries of 37,679 units, bringing cumulative deliveries to 1,801,834 units. The new Li MEGA launches on September 2 and Li i9 mid-September. The Li i9 is a six-seat pure electric SUV (5,225/1,970/1,752mm, 3,168mm wheelbase) with four standard LiDARs, dual motors (150kW front + 250kW rear) and 101kWh battery delivering 680-705 km range. In H1 2026, the Li i6 ranked among the top 3 best-selling vehicles above 200,000 yuan for seven consecutive months. Mahou VLA will roll out to Thor and Orin-X platform users in September. As of August 31, Li Auto operates 487 retail centers (160 cities), 533 service centers (218 cities) and 4,162 supercharging stations with 22,939 piles.

Honda Malaysia has launched the 2026 WR-V with trim levels reduced from four to three: 1.5 E (RM94,900), 1.5 V (RM98,900) and flagship 1.5 RS (RM104,900), with prices reduced by RM1,000-RM3,000. The 1.5 S has been discontinued. Power comes from a 1.5L i-VTEC naturally aspirated engine (121 PS/145 Nm) paired with CVT. Exterior changes are minimal with new 17-inch black wheels standard across all variants. The RS gains red ambient lighting, wireless charging and 360-degree camera, while V and RS get full leather seats. The 10-inch display audio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard. Safety includes 4 airbags, Honda LaneWatch, AEB, ACC, LKAS and LDW.

Honda Malaysia is holding public previews of the facelifted City across Klang Valley and Putrajaya from September 4-6, ahead of its official launch, with bookings now open. The exterior gains a sharper front end with slimmer LED headlights and a light-bar connected grille on higher grades, redesigned rear bumper, and new turbine-style 16-inch alloy wheels on the RS. Inside features a larger 10-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting and newly-added blind spot monitoring. The e:HEV hybrid leads the powertrain lineup with 109 PS and 253 Nm of instant electric torque. The four preview venues include Alamanda, MyTOWN, Sunway Pyramid malls and the famous SS2 Durian Wonderland stop operating round-the-clock.

Geely has announced the Starray EM-i will receive an all-wheel-drive variant called Inspire AWD in Australia, with first units arriving mid-September. The rear motor adds 109 PS and 150 Nm, bringing total output to 299 PS and 412 Nm—37 PS more than the FWD model—and enabling 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, nearly two seconds quicker. It uses a 29.8 kWh LFP battery with 130 km WLTP electric range and a larger 60-litre fuel tank for 1,065 km total range. New Snow and Off-road drive modes join Pure, Hybrid and Power settings, with a redesigned five-link rear suspension. Priced at AU$44,990 (approximately RM130,200).

The Voyah Dream 9 will begin pre-sales on September 5, positioned as a premium flagship MPV in the 500,000 yuan segment. It debuts as the world's first MPV with a retractable illuminated standing logo and features HUAWEI XPIXEL bi-million-pixel full-color intelligent headlights with a Ziwixing matrix light source. Exterior design includes a vertical waterfall family grille, two-tone body and 20-inch wheels. Built on a full-series L3 autonomous driving architecture, it carries Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 with an 896-line LiDAR and 3 blind-spot radars enabling cross-domain coordination. The Dream 9 will strengthen Voyah's position in the ultra-luxury MPV segment.

GAC Trumpchi's Yue 7 PHEV SUV will begin pre-sales on September 2. The mid-to-large SUV features a boxy design with dimensions of 5,045/2,004/1,933mm and a 2,900mm wheelbase, 30° approach and 33° departure angles with 310mm ground clearance. It comes equipped with a LiDAR on the roof and fender sensors. Inside features a 1.1-meter panoramic screen, Qualcomm 8295 chip and ADiGO 7.0 system. Powertrain combines a 1.5L turbo engine with plug-in hybrid, offering 28.3kWh, 38.883kWh or 45.975kWh batteries delivering 116-188 km WLTP pure electric range. Off-road features include front/rear mechanical differential locks, central locking and 9+X terrain modes, with dual-chamber air suspension and SDC variable damping.
