Toyota Kirloskar Motor Achieves Record Sales and 48% Growth in FY23-24

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has maintained its sales momentum, achieving a record sales volume of 263,512 units in FY23-24, marking a 48% growth compared to the previous year's 177,683 units. In addition, TKM recorded a 25% growth in March 2024, selling 27,180 units compared to 21,783 units in March 2023. Domestic sales accounted for 25,119 units, while exports totaled 2,061 units during the same month. Reflecting on the growth, Vice President Sabari Manohar stated that TKM will continue to focus on customer-centricity and meet the rising consumer demands across segments, while enhancing customer touchpoints and creating delightful ownership experiences. Notably, the SUV and MUV segments, including models like the Innova Crysta, Innova HyCross, Fortuner, Legender, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, and LC300, were significant contributors to the company's growth.

On Dec 27, Dongfeng Forthing opened pre-orders for the Star Sea T5, a new compact electric SUV offering 530 km CLTC range across two trims priced 153,900–161,900 RMB. The 4,600 mm closed-grille crossover rides on a 2,730 mm wheelbase, features 13-inch floating central display, 17-inch aero wheels and full-width LED taillamps, targeting China’s mainstream EV family segment.

Lexus launches the RZ600e F Sport Performance, a hotter EV derivative of the RZ550e F Sport. System power rises to 426 PS via revised battery limits, ride height drops 20 mm, and 21-inch Enkei wheels conceal 20-inch six-piston brakes. Hongqi E-HS9 to Debut at Singapore Motorshow 2026; Flagship EV SUV Marks Brand’s RHD ASEAN Entry
China's luxury brand Hongqi has officially entered the Singapore market through Eurokars Elite. Its first right-hand-drive model, the E-HS9, will debut at the Singapore Auto Show from January 8-11, 2026, and be available for purchase within the year. The large pure electric SUV offers three battery options (77-120 kWh), with a WLTP range of 380-515 km, a combined output of 426 PS, and comes standard with air suspension and a full ADAS suite. The showroom is located at 19 Leng Kee Road, with plans to introduce a pure electric sedan and two mid-size SUVs in the future. Singapore is expected to become Hongqi's first right-hand-drive market in ASEAN.
