BYD has revealed pricing for the Racco, its electric kei car rivaling Honda, Mitsubishi and Nissan. Three variants share the same 64PS/160Nm front motor (per kei car regulations) with differences in battery capacity. The base 200 (2.145M yen/RM54k) features 22.4kWh for 210km WLTC range, while 300 Plus and 300 Premium (2.398M/2.497M yen) feature 35.84kWh for 320km range.
Second-Gen Kia Seltos Launches in Indonesia: From 359M IDR, 1.5L 115PS Engine
The second-generation Kia Seltos officially launched in Indonesia at GIIAS 2026 with three variants. The Trendy starts at 359 million rupiah (about RM81k), followed by the Prestige+ ADAS at 417 million rupiah (RM94k) and GT Line at 469 million rupiah (RM106k). All three variants are powered by a 1.5L Gamma II naturally-aspirated engine, Euro 4 compliant, paired with Kia's Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT/CVT), producing 115PS (85kW) at 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The model debuted globally last December, about seven months before its Indonesian launch.

Audi Q9 Officially Revealed: Rivals BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, North America Launch 2027
Audi officially unveiled the Q9 on July 29, the brand's largest and most luxurious flagship SUV, directly rivaling the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, expected to launch in North America in 2027 from approximately USD89,000. The exterior features an upright grille with vertical bars, boxy and rugged styling close to the Q8 e-tron design language. At 5,310mm long, 2,210mm wide, and 3,140mm wheelbase, it surpasses the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS as the largest among the German trio. It features curved digital OLED taillights supporting night light shows and traffic information projection. Standard 7-seat with optional 6-seat, with generous third-row space. Over 1.5 square meters of panoramic glass roof with optional 9-zone electronic dimming and 30-color ambient lighting that automatically turns opaque when parked. Equipped with powered doors with anti-collision sensors.

Launched in Indonesia last month, the BYD M6 DM marks BYD's foray into combustion-engined vehicles in the country. The plug-in hybrid MPV offers two variants: Classic with 74kWh Blade LFP battery (45km pure electric range) and Cross with 18.3kWh (110km range). The powertrain combines a 163PS/210Nm electric motor, 101PS/126Nm 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine, and single-speed DHT, achieving 0-100km/h in 9.1 seconds and 170km/h top speed.

Leapmotor Enters Indonesian Market at GIIAS 2026: B10 and C10 SUVs Debut
Leapmotor entered the Indonesian market with an official brand launch at GIIAS 2026, starting with the B10 and C10 EV SUVs. These CBU imports come from Stellantis' plant in Gurun, Kedah (Stellantis holds a stake in Leapmotor and markets its products globally). Unlike the Geely Coolray, the B10 and C10 will not be shipped from Malaysia. Leapmotor cars will be distributed by Indomobil (handling Jeep and Citroen), with local assembly at Indomobil's plant in Purwakarta, Jawa Barat. The first showroom opened in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) in Jakarta Utara earlier this month.
