Chinese luxury marque Hongqi officially lands in Singapore via Eurokars Elite; the right-hand-drive E-HS9 full-size electric SUV will be unveiled at the Singapore Motorshow (8-11 Jan 2026) and launched the same year. Thailand’s new-vehicle sales jumped 20.6% YoY to 51,044 units in November 2025, the strongest monthly pace this year. Commercial vehicles spearheaded growth, surging 31.1% to 31,870 units, while passenger cars added 6.5% to 19,174. Toyota maintained leadership with 19,305 registrations and a 37.8% share; its January-November volume reached 205,453 units, giving it 37.6% of the overall market. On 24 Feb 2025, Qianli Technology (ex-Lifan, 601777.SH) announced that Mercedes-Benz Digital Technology has completed the registration to acquire 135.6 million shares (3% stake) from Li Fan Holdings at RMB 9.87/share for about RMB 1.34 billion, becoming the fifth-largest shareholder with a 12-month lock-up. Driven by Geely, the deal turns Qianli into an open AD/ADAS platform of 3,000 engineers, integrating Zeekr and Geely R&D units. New Chinese EV brand Kosmera will unveil two models at CES: a 1,903-hp hypercar and a Porsche-like sedan. The quad-motor flagship targets a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio using aerospace-grade composites and a 3D-printed chassis for exceptional torsional rigidity, while an active linear-motor suspension toggles between comfort and track modes. Backed by Dreame Technology and registered by Suzhou-based Star, Kosmera is co-developing solid-state batteries and plans series production in 2027 .
