Arcfox T1 has started blind orders, with display vehicles arriving at over 500 stores in 214 cities nationwide. The pre-sales launch event will be held at 19:30 on August 22. The vehicle features the ARC-FLOW concept design language, with a rounded body and a narrow-top, wide-bottom rear design. The distinctive taillights and spoiler add a sporty touch. The interior is equipped with a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, 540° panoramic imaging, and other features. The rear seats can be fully reclined to increase storage space, meeting consumer demands.

The 2026 Changan X5 PLUS has officially launched with five models priced from 69,900 to 103,900 RMB, with a limited-time offer price range of 59,900 to 83,900 RMB. The new model also comes with four major purchasing benefits. It continues the family design, featuring a sporty appearance with dimensions of 4540/1860/1590 (1620) mm and a wheelbase of 2715 mm. The interior is equipped with a 30-inch wraparound triple screen and FaceID recognition system. Power comes from a 1.5T Blue Whale engine with a maximum power of 141 kW and a maximum torque of 310 N·m, matched with a manual or 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, and features the i-EM intelligent energy management system.

On August 19, Tesla Model Y L was officially launched at a price of 339,000 RMB. The new model features a sporty family design and an upgraded size with a 150mm longer wheelbase. The interior is equipped with a 16-inch infotainment screen and a 6-seat layout, and the trunk offers ample space. It is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds and a CLTC range of 751 km. The vehicle also features a CDC suspension system. Deliveries will start in September, and buyers can enjoy financial benefits and charging privileges.

On August 19, Nio announced that it will launch its first right-hand drive model, the Firefly EV, in Singapore in 2026 in partnership with Wearnes Automotive. First launched in China in December 2024, the Firefly EV is available in two variants priced at 119,800 and 125,800 yuan. With the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, the base Free (Zizai) variant is priced at 79,800 yuan, while the top-spec Luminous (Faguang) variant is priced at 85,800 yuan. Both variants feature a 42.1-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a rear electric motor with 143 PS and 200 Nm of torque, offering a CLTC-rated range of 420 km. The EV supports 100 kW DC fast charging and 7 kW AC charging, and comes with a 3.68 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) system. Measuring 4,003 mm long, 1,781 mm wide, and 1,557 mm tall with a 2,615 mm wheelbase, the five-seat Firefly EV is positioned as a compact vehicle. The entry into Singapore is part of Nio's global expansion plan, which also includes launching multiple models in Costa Rica and Uzbekistan.

Rumors suggest that Proton is planning a new Saga sub-brand, and designer Theophilus Chin has created a "hypothetical" Proton Saga Cross SUV to compete with models like the Perodua Ativa, Honda WR-V, and Chery Tiggo Cross. Theo envisions a lineup including the Saga Persona (sedan), Saga Iriz (hatchback), Saga Exora (MPV), and Saga Cross (SUV). The design features angular headlamps integrated into a wide grille, black wheel arch mouldings, roof rails, an X70-like shoulder line kink at the C-pillar, full-width tail lamps, and a rear diffuser-like element housing twin tailpipes. Proton is currently awaiting the launch of the Saga MC3, codenamed AMA01, which is the first model based on the new A-segment Modular Architecture. The AMA01 code hints at potential future models based on this architecture.

Toyota Thailand has confirmed that the fourth-generation Vios will be available in a hybrid variant, set to compete with the Honda City e:HEV. The Vios hybrid, known as Yaris Ativ HEV in Thailand, is scheduled for an official launch on August 21. It will feature the same 1.5L four-cylinder engine and electric motor combination as the Yaris Cross HEV, producing a combined output of 111 horsepower, equipped with an e-CVT transmission and front-wheel drive, achieving a fuel consumption rate of 26.3 km/l. The vehicle will be offered in two variants: HEV Premium and HEV GR Sport. Pricing details have yet to be officially announced, but it is expected to be priced higher than the conventional gasoline-powered Vios.
