The interior features newly added aisle zero-gravity seats that can automatically adjust angles and a 220V power outlet. On the powertrain front, the all-wheel-drive version will offer a new phosphate iron lithium battery option, with the single-motor version delivering a maximum power of 235kW and the dual-motor version offering 370kW.

On April 9, BYD Tang L was officially launched, offering six variants priced between 229,800 and 289,800 yuan. Built on BYD's Super e-Platform, the vehicle supports a 1000V high-voltage platform and 1000W ultra-fast charging, capable of charging 400km in 5 minutes. Positioned as a mid-large SUV, the plug-in hybrid version features the fifth-generation DM technology, DiDyna intelligent chassis, and advanced driving assistance systems. BYD's Denza Launches in Europe to Challenge BMW and Mercedes
BYD's premium brand Denza has officially launched in Europe, aiming to compete with high-end German manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes. Denza, once a joint venture with Mercedes-Benz, is now fully owned by BYD. The brand plans to start sales in Europe with the Z9 GT electric version by the end of this year, a five-door electric shooting brake with 963 horsepower and a range of 630 km. Denza also plans to introduce the D9 MPV and two 4x4 models. In March 2025, BYD sold 377,420 new energy vehicles, up 24.8% year-on-year. Passenger vehicle sales reached 371,419 units, up 23.1% year-on-year. The cumulative passenger vehicle sales for 2025 reached 986,098 units, with the total new energy vehicle sales exceeding 11.6 million units. By brand, the Dynasty and Ocean series sold 350,615 units, up 22.3% year-on-year; the Foton brand sold 8,051 units, up 126.8% year-on-year; the Tengshi brand sold 12,620 units, up 22.8% year-on-year; and the Wey brand sold 133 units. Overseas, BYD exported 72,723 new energy vehicles in March.

The Zhidou Rainbow Pro has officially launched with three models priced at 50,900-60,900 yuan. The new model features a cute, rounded design with seven exterior and five interior color options. It measures 3224/1515/1630mm in size with a 2100mm wheelbase. The interior includes a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, a 9-inch infotainment screen, and wireless CarPlay. Volkswagen Group Unveils China-Specific Advanced Driving Assistance System at Shanghai Auto Show
On April 17, Volkswagen Group announced that it will unveil an advanced driving assistance system specifically designed for China's complex road conditions at the Shanghai Auto Show. Developed by a Chinese team, the system integrates AI technology and has self-learning capabilities, providing highly human-like, multi-scenario driving assistance. The system will first be equipped on a new Volkswagen model for the Chinese market and is planned to be gradually applied to smart connected vehicles developed on the CMP platform starting next year.
