Nissan is refocusing on its e-Power hybrid system, with a third generation in development. The all-new fifth-gen X-Trail will spearhead the system in the US market, debuting as the Rogue in 2026. The SUV retains the current model's silhouette but features a new front end with distinctive five-sided LED daytime running lights and a wide V-shaped grille. The third-gen e-Power system will use a dedicated 1.5L engine and a new five-in-one electric motor, with only the motor driving the wheels. In addition to the e-Power version, the X-Trail will also be available in petrol and plug-in hybrid forms.
